I know, the topic of laundry or laundry expenses is rarely at the top of our list of exciting conversations. It is one of those things that just has to be done. Unless we have secluded ourselves and joined a nudist colony, we are doing laundry.
We are buying, sorting, spraying, bleaching, pouring, and pouring money right down the drain. Read the rest of this entry

If you have ever visited a country with an apparent income divide you’ll know it. I remember my first cruise I had ever earned with my home business. One of our stops was Jamaica. While the experience was incredible and got me completely hooked on world travel, one thing was certainly unforgettable. I got a real view of what an income divide truly looks like. Okay, so I don’t know if the life sucks trend has gone global, but it sure is trying to take over my world, and most likely yours.
It is no doubt that people are experiencing very difficult times right now. The middle class is quickly shrinking making it difficult for average families to keep up with their bills. Keeping the lights on and food on the table isn’t something we take for granted any longer. Many are shouting out without hesitation…LIFE SUCKS!
Life sucks? This is a word of warning…a major lesson in caution. Tread very carefully… Read the rest of this entry

Pain is not a destination, a result, or the last chapter.
This morning as I was getting ready for the day, I happened to catch a bit of the morning news. I caught a little blurb, covering statistics regarding low income and poverty stricken families in the US. Although not surprising, I was awestruck at one thought. Pain.
Here are the stats: Read the rest of this entry

“Mom, Dad, I want to be like you!” When you hear that do you think Awesome! Or are you thinking UH-OH?
Do you feel you are worthy of emulation; would you want your kids to be like you?
This is a question that strikes parents at some point in their parenting journey. It usually happens when their child acts out a certain not so flattering behavior, and we realize they learned that behavior from us. Read the rest of this entry

Ever feel like you are just a pawn in a twisted game called “Winning in Life?” You feel as though someone is calling the shots, and no matter what you do, it doesn’t seem to help. It seems like every time you finally understand what to do or what move to make next, the rules of the game change, and you start back at square one. Read the rest of this entry

Mediocrity and status quo are terms that literally make my skin crawl.
My hope today is to wake you up. Mediocrity is a modern day prison. It is an idea of safety designed to keep you where you are. As long as your life is comparable to your friends, family, neighbors, and peers, you feel okay about it. As long as you maintain the status quo, your friends are happy for you. After all, it allows them to feel good about their life too.
If you are that person that says they are happy with their mediocre life, I seriously want to challenge your thinking right now. Read the rest of this entry

Ahhh, the infamous voice of reason. We’ve all probably at some point been told to listen to it. You know the one that is suppose to be a voice of wisdom. But has our voice of reason really turned into a voice of doubt? When do you typically hear this advice? Either when you are doing something completely stupid or something that other people cannot understand. Then you hear all the logical reasons why you shouldn’t be doing whatever it is you are doing.
