How To Select The Best Work At Home Business
Selecting The Best Work At Home Business
Wouldn’t it be great if you could wave a magic wand, and the best work at home business opportunity would appear? For anyone who has a real desire to generate a very strong income or to build wealth, has probably missed an opportunity or two, or has thought what if I would have bought stock in “ABC”company back then… Most success driven entrepreneurs dream of finding that winning opportunity, the thing that will set them up for freedom forever. Yet, finding the best work at home business, is challenging.
Most likely, you have already started the overwhelming task of researching opportunities and have been met with several people from several companies, all claiming they have the best work at home business in the world. Honestly, to that person, they do have the best work at home business opportunity available, because if they didn’t believe in what they were doing, they wouldn’t be sharing it with you. So how do you know if a company is a good investment or the right business for you? Since finding the right company to work with is not an easy task, I have decided to put together an outline of things you should be looking for and evaluating when looking for the best work at home business.
10 Factors In Choosing The Best Work At Home Business
1. What is the company’s track record? – Research the history of the company to determine it’s financial record, the experience of the leadership, the values of the company, what their mission is, how long they have been in business, and the reputation of the leaders. Have they built a solid reputation for providing quality products or services? Keep in mind, not all companies lacking in longevity, are a bad deal, so researching the leaders of the company and their experience in the marketplace is of extreme value.
2. What is their product or service? First of all, you need to know what the products are, and whether or not they are of serious interest to you. Since you will be marketing whatever they offer, you had better believe in them, and be able to develop a passion for them.
3. Does the company provide verification for any claims they make about the products. Since you don’t want to be in a situation where you make false claims about the efficacy of a product, make sure the company has the research and proof to back up any claims they do make about their products. This is good ethical business, you want to know with certainty the products are good, and they do what they say they do. The best work at home business won’t put your reputation on the line without giving you real data to back it up.
4. Are the products priced competitively in the marketplace? This is not
always a simple comparison, because some products on the market may make similar claims, but may not measure up in quality or results. So you may want to ask, what is the closest product in comparison so you can do the research yourself. Get real information, be very careful when doing research on the Internet, because savvy marketers can say negative things about products in an effort to gain you as their customer. I have read some very interesting reviews about products, and when you read the fine print, the review is redirecting you to their similar product.
5. Do the products appeal to a large demographic? In others words, does the company have a product line that could be marketed to anybody, or is it more of a niche target. The smaller the niche market, the more difficult it becomes to find enough customers. The best work at home business can offer a product line that addresses common problems or issues, and is priced in a wide range to accommodate more income brackets.
6. What are the costs involved to get started? Find out what the initial investment is, and if there are any additional, ongoing, fees involved. Does the company give you options or is there only one option available. I have found that companies that offer varying start up plans, can appeal to a wider audience, which does make it easier for more people to take advantage of their plan.
7. Is there a minimum sales quota? Ask if the company has a certain volume requirement, and if so, is it set as weekly or monthly. Also, find out what would happen if that requirement was not met.
8. Is the company’s compensation plan based on recruiting new partners only, or can you make money simply by distributing product? There is no right or wrong answer here, but what I have found is you have a bigger advantage if you can make money by moving product, regardless of how many people you can recruit. I am going to make a bold statement, and again, this is just my opinion, but I feel the best work at home business offers products that you can retail for a pretty decent profit.
9. What type of training does the company provide? Will you be required to attend an in person training, or can this be done online or over the phone, and is it free or do they charge for it. You want to know this, because, in my opinion, a legitimate company should provide training in multiple options, not to mention it could add to your budget.
10. What type of ongoing support is available? Once your initial training is complete, you’ll need to know how you will be supported, and you’ll want to have access to more than one person in the event that person has to step away. The best work at home business invests in ongoing training, because when the individuals win, the company wins.
What To Avoid In Choosing The Best Work At Home Business For You
My advice is to steer clear of any companies that claim you can get rich quick, or give you something for nothing type offers. Reality is, there is no such thing as a get rich quick business, if you are looking to get rich quick, buy a lottery ticket, but don’t hold your breath. Also beware if someone asks you to make a commitment before you are thoroughly educated, and can read the company disclosures yourself. The general rule is do your homework, don’t get caught up in the excitement of the success stories, and look for a leader who is up-front, genuine, and has no problem being real with you. Don’t pay too much attention to that individuals personal success rate either, because another person’s success or lack thereof, has nothing to do with what you can do.
